Music Nostaglia – 5 Great Songs of ’05

Halfway done!  This was a great year for resurgence and nothing was more anticipated than NIN and Green Day!  But we’re now seeing a departure of boy bands and girly pop and moving to more solid stuff.  We’re seeing a lot more negativity but at the same token a sliver of hope for the troubles that plagued the nation and the world at this time in history.  Either way…we’re starting to amp up the volume!

Hand That Feeds – Nine Inch Nails

Finally!  After years and years of waiting we finally have another NIN album!  And Trent doesn’t disappoint!

Boulevard of Broken Dreams – Green Day

I’m not necessarily a Greenday fan but I totally dig this song!  This song just goes to prove that prejudice in bands doesn’t truly mean you have the same prejudice to the music itself!

Sooner or Later – Breaking Benjamin

I was so happy to have been able to see this band live a few years ago!   This was one of their mainstream songs that is such an awesome rock song!

Twisted Transistor – Korn

I adore songs that have double lyrics mixed in!  I could totally vibe on this song and it was a nice departure from Got The Life?

Sugar, We’re Going Down – Fall Out Boy

I cannot express how much I love this band!  They broke our hearts when they took a break from the success of the album that Sugar came out on.  Later on they will make another appearance on the list for an awesome rock anthem for today!
